Antennas and connectors for Wireless Wiegand

What is the antenna connector on the Wireless Wiegand ?

Wireless Wiegand (WW) has RP-SMA-Female antenna connector, therefore antenna or any cable should have RP-SMA-MALE connector toward the WW device.

You can use any antenna or extension cable required for the installation. Raise antennas to the needed elevation. Line of sight helps, but is not required. Directional antennas increase range and reduce interference. With proper placement, elevation, and antenna choice, Wireless Wiegand can cover virtually any practical distance.

Antenna options include omnidirectional dipoles, sectors, patches, and high-gain Yagi antennas. Always use good-quality low-loss cable and proper connectors—thin, high-loss cable will severely reduce performance.

Cables notes
• Quality is the most important factor — use low-loss cable and good connectors
• LMR-100 is not recommended (too much loss)
• LMR-200/240 and LMR-400 are good choices
• Ultraflex versions are available if flexibility is needed; standard versions are stiff
• For runs under ~5 ft, LMR-240-UF works perfectly

Where to get them:
