Battery Usage in ICON-PRO Access Controller

A: The battery keeps the internal clock and calendar running when the main power is lost, ensuring accurate timekeeping.

A: Replace the battery if the controller loses date or time after a power outage, or approximately every 2–3 years under normal conditions.

Q5: How do I replace the battery safely?
A: Power off the controller, open the housing carefully, replace the CR1220 battery with the correct polarity (+ facing up), and close the housing securely. Battery holder is on bottom side of pcb.
