How to use the AIR-Key

Instructions on how to use the AIR-Key.

1.  To use AIR-Key keys it is necessary to download the ViKey Wallet application.

2.  It is necessary to have AIR-Key keys available to add to the applications installed in users' smartphones.

After installing the application on your smartphone, make sure that the application has been granted full access rights.

To use the application, geolocation and bluetooth must be enabled on your smartphone.

The app may require access to the camera and phone memory to add keys to the app.

The screenshots of the app interface describe the actions on an Android device, but are virtually identical to the actions in the interface for iOS.

1.     Open the ViKey Wallet app

2.     Click the AIR-Key tab

3.     Press [ + ] to add a key.

4.     Point the scanner at the QR-code image of the key

5.     Assign any name to the added key. (underlined in red) For example New. (highlighted in green is the serial number to be added to AllDoors)

6.     Click Save, and then click OK.

7.     AIR-Key was successfully added. A key card appears with the text “Key not Initialized with Reader”.

8.     Now you need to “familiarize” it with the AIR-R readers. When you are near an AIR-R reader, press the card to search for available readers. (The reader must have the bluetooth module enabled)

9.     Select the desired reader from the list of nearby readers. (The reader name published during the search can be changed in its settings, then restart the device and application).

10.   After the ring on the reader lights up yellow, bring your palm to the optical sensor at a distance of about two inches to confirm the “ familiarization ”.

11.   When the “ familiarization ” is finished, you can give a name to the added reader. For example: Main Door. Then Save and OK.

12.   When you click on the New card, the added reader will be sent the serial number of the key, which will be transmitted via Wiegand to the controller. To add another AR-R Reader, press the gear located on the card itself.

13.   In the AIR-Key card settings, you can change the name of the key (underlined in red), add a new reader (highlighted in orange), and copy the serial number of the key to add to the access control system (highlighted in green).

14.   The copied key serial number is manually added to the access control system as a regular access card. The cardholder's access to the control point is determined by the current access rule.

a.  Go to the Cardholders section

b.  Open the Edit Cardholders form of the user who has been granted access.

c.   Select Credential and click the Manual Entry tab.

d.  From the Type drop-down list, select the RFID option

e.  From the Input mode drop-down list, select the Serial Number option.

f.   Paste the Serial Number into the input field and click Add credential

g.  Once the code appears in the list of keys, click Submit.

15.   Open the application and click on the card (area highlighted in green)
