[ICON-Pro] How to Update Firmware?

Purpose: Upgrading ICON-Pro Firmware via Cloud Server
Important: For installed devices!
Complete the following prerequisites before starting the firmware update to ensure a smooth and safe upgrade process:
  1. Disconnect All Non-Essential Connections: Ensure that all input, output, and reader connectors are disconnected, except for the power connection. The unit should not process any data or I/O status during the upgrade.
  2. Internet Connection: Verify that the unit is connected to a router with active Internet access.
  3. Power Reset: Before initiating the upgrade, reset the power and allow the unit to fully boot up.
  4. Continuous Power Supply: Do not turn off the power during the update. Interruptions may corrupt the installation, potentially rendering the unit inoperable until reprogrammed via a USB cable.
  5. Update Risks: Ignoring these preliminary steps could lead to the unit not powering on, booting with limited functionality, or experiencing other malfunctions.
For New Devices or Devices After a Full Reset: You may proceed directly with the update steps if the device is new or has been reset to factory settings.
  • Connect the device to a 12-24 VDC power source.
  • Connect the device to an Ethernet network with internet access. If available, use PoE.
  • Connect to your device's Wi-Fi network. The Wi-Fi (AP) name is listed on the label on the unit's case.

  • Make sure your computer is connected to the same local area network as your device.
  • Open a web browser and enter the IP address 192.168.4.1.

  • > Go to Maintenance

    Troubleshooting:
    1. If an error message appears during the update, check for a stable connection. If stable, retry the update by clicking "Check and Update".
    2. For errors at 95% download or more, wait 30 seconds and reboot the device. After reboot, check the firmware version in the system section of the web interface.
    3. If the interface is unresponsive, verify the device’s connection status.
    4. If disconnected, reboot the device and attempt to reconnect.
